You have a "Hollow heart", Lottie - not you, but your potato!
    Hollow heart
Hollow heart (Figure 25, with growth cracks) is a discolored lens- or star-shaped cavity found in the center of an otherwise healthy tuber.
Cause: Hollow heart is associated with rapid tuber growth after cool temperatures and moisture stress (too much or too little water). Large tubers usually, but not always, are more susceptible than small tubers.

Hey, LD - I love it! How unusual is that? Hollow heart or not, I've never seen one cross shaped before.
If Jules is right you could make a small fortune (or at least a couple of quid) from the photos.
And I've never eaten clover either but I don't really see why you can't.

Perhaps its a new variety, you could call it dolly mixture?

I've had plenty of holey potatoes this year, but not a single holy potato, I've seen the kingdom of heaven and it is most definitely allotment shaped.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
