Someone might trip over tools left in the open and have you never heard the phrase 'you'll have someone's eye out with that'?

we have bees on our site but nothing else....we can theoretically keep chickens but there is a large number of foxes there and the water is turned off from Oct - Mar. We have small wildlife ponds on a lot of plots they are not to be placed on the edge of your plot. The love of gardening is a seed once sown never dies ...

Bees
Not allowed to have any bees on the plot! !!!
Sent them an email explaining the important role bees have in the food chain
And asking how do you keep the bees off my plot from other bee hives the area.
No reply
Other councils have been giving away free hives
free bee keeping courses.
Trying to encourage more people to take up bee keeping

To the best of my knowledge we have chickens (no cockerels supposedly, they must be blind and deaf is all I can say), bees, geese and rabbits somewhere on the site. You have to apply, but it's not hard to get permission if you've got a reasonable set up, though I think they're asking that you do a beekeeping course before getting bees, which is fair enough I think.
And amphibians are animals! They're multicellular organisms in the Kingdom Animalia, that's what animals means; frogs may be green, but they ain't plants!

Been on two bee keeping courses by neighbouring councils. Hive/bees are only offered to residents who live in the area
my council has no interest
I've got the certification and two mentors willing to help
And my plot is in the corner of the site next to woodland away from houses
and footpaths.
But they still say no?

I know a guy who has a plot at an allotment and he only uses it as a place to keep his racing pigeons. I don't know how he gets away with it because he doesn't grow anything there, well, except for some grass but that doesn't really count.Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive

My vote would be "No I cannot keep aminals"
I don't know anyone who can
D'OH....well I guess most of us could keep aminals on the lottie, seeing as they are an aminoacetal compound. I'm not sure I'd have noticed them though.Last edited by Mikey; 03-10-2012, 01:32 PM.I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
