Most council do very little to tackle invasive plants

You only have to look at the knotweed and balsam
On the side of most roads and rivers.

I'm slowly filling the map with little red dots
Hopefully it will highlight a problem in an area and something
Will be done

The app takes a bit of getting use to
Make sure the plant species is in the top box before you
fill the report or it will not send.
Select species from the first menu every time you
do a report

The bees love the balsam though.

Dog like chocolate and would eat it in preference
to dog food but we don't feed them it.
Bees prefer to Pollinate balsam than native plants once it becomes established will they
Ignore native plants .
Who knows what effect it will have on bees as they
Have not evolved to feed exclusively on balsam

We are also losing winberries and heather on the moors due to the balsam growing through
The native plants and Shading them.

Once the balsam becomes established it dies off in winter leaving the soil
Exposed to the elements which intern causes soil erosion.
