i wasn't bothered by her coming across as condescending, but she seemed clumsy with the knife (which i guess would be arthritis or something) and her overall appearance made her look more like an old bag lady than a chef / cook / writer .... i could never buy food from someone who looked like an old bag lady ....

that feature should really have been done by someone possibly younger, smarter, with a more encouraging attitude .... someone better known to the younger generation ....

I was surprised to find Clarissa is only 65, she looks much, much, older. I've read a bit about her now and it was interesting, but like you say FG, maybe she's had her day. Did you know she's got 11 christian names? Wow, I'm glad I haven't, I'd never remember them all.

Not wishing to speak out of turn, but didn't she like a tipple?, it can make you look a lot older than you are.

She lost millions (family fortune) because of alcoholism. She even blagged her way into rehab for free. I think she's been dry for the last 20 or so years. She was also a barrister at University with Tony Blair. See what I mean? Along with Two Fat Ladies, hunting including hare coursing and eating badgers, like her or not, her story sounds interesting.

I personally think she's great. I always enjoyed two fat ladies, and have seen a number of shows that she has done since.

Its an old recording!! There's also a way to grow mushrooms in coffee grounds. Better head over to Costa before everyone sees it.

The only things that grow in my coffee grounds are biscuits, when the swell up just before I lose them for good.
