I don't watch TV usually but as Mr Z was away last night I actually sat in front of the tellybox and caught this.

The Forestry Commission tree felling, stripping and sawing machine was like something out of a sci fi film. Quite scary.

Yes, that Tree cutting machine was quite something - a tree cut down every 30 seconds or something? Imagine one of those in the hands of a maniac

If it had asked questions about the wood rather than association with a tree I might have done better than the 4 out of 7... All I know is the apple was round when it fell on Isaac, if the story is in fact true.

I've watched all of these programmes so far - one walk we do is literally two fields away from the wood so next time I might divert and have a closer look if I can.

So are you thinking of branching out into charcoal burning then VC? Overnight camping in the wood should be interesting..........

But the kids were having great fun smearing the charcoal all over their faces weren't they!
