    Thanks to all.

I have to say I am quite over-whelmed at the response and helpfulness of everyone on my behalf. I will be delighted to take out a yearly subscription, and if we in Ireland can avail of the special offers, that would be great.
From a greatful grape. Thanks to all ,and long live people power.

I must admit that my geography is scratchy at best. School syllabus seemed to concentrate on soil erosion in Africa rather than the UK and Eire. When I see the map on the weather segment of the news it never dawned on my little world here is South Wales that there was a sliding scale for postal charges to some parts of what I see as one country. History lessons pointed out that during the second world war the Germans invaded and occupied some channel isles but apart from that I have never had much need to give it much thought, until the last month or so with people bringing it to our notice that living in the more wind swept parts of the UK brought additional delivery costs that remain hidden to the majority of us. I can back up Lesley in saying that the magazine people are looking into things in relation to the GYO magazine.

When I bought my Greenhouse there was a sliding scale on delivery costs. The circle radiated out from the factory in bands. I think that for Cardiff I was in the second band but Swansea would have been in band four. I suppose that with the Internet becoming more of a shopping lifeline for people here in the UK we will see more and more differences in P&P costs when buying large bulk items. Smaller things though having higher costs or being unavailable at all, just never dawned on my till now.

Matt Tudor the publisher of GYO is going to make all special offers in GYO available to Eire as well as the whole of the UK. The only time he can't do this is when a seed company insists that it is mainland UK only.

Have been sent the wrong issue!

I managed to get 1/2 an hour yesterday due to the hailstorm we had so sat down to read the May issue of GYO......they have only gone and sent me the wrong issue!!

Patty pans, Fennel, yellow chard, amaranth, mini potagers, chicken houses at £500 +, pasta with dandelion greens.......they have only gone and sent me the Home Counties & Cheshire edition of GYO.

Needless to say an email has been sent requesting my subscription be reverted to the bog standard issue.

Well, mistakes do happen I suppose. I used to get a science mag called Focus on a monthly basis from my local newsagent and one month I got a copy of another mag - also called Focus- which had just come out. (DON'T goole this LJ!) needless to say, our teenage son was more than interested
