Tea bag tea first thing. Milk
Fresh coffee midmorning. Black or a cappuccino from the machine.
Leaf tea in the afternoon - earl grey, lapsang or gunpowder - nothing added.
Evening - instant coffee or t bag tea or fruit tea or espresso... Anything goes!

But rarely more than 4 cups a day and I often skip the first one.

      Makes lovely coffee.

My machine uses coffee bags, brilliant things...! I use the ones from Lidl, £1.69 for 18.

        Latte. Large. With a Muffin!

If I'm at home it's G*ld Bl€nd with milk. No sugar.

Himself has Tea, so strong it melts the spoon, and makes the mug gunky. At work they make all the teas then bung all the bags in his mug. *Pukes

tea: Lady Grey made in a pot, one teabag for a full pot, I drink it black, no sugar, so like it fairly weak and generally drink all four cups or remove the teabag and reheat later.

coffee: instant for work days, decaff after mid-morning, fresh made filter for days off or percolated in my practically antique electric percolator (does anyone else still do that?) when I have several days off as it makes a huge potful. I like coffee with a splash of milk and a dash of vanilla extract or peppermint essence (mmm).

Chocolate: one heaped teaspoon of cocoa powder in hot milk, no sugar, but as coffee, with vanilla or peppermint.

Tea, all the way! Grew up with loose leaf Typhoo as it is has its origins in a Birmingham pharmacy. That and grandparents were proper Bollywoods.

I do rather like tasting teas. I don't really like the earl greys of the world. Bought myself a teapot last year from covent garden. Autumn demands Chai. Have some Darjeeling and Assam someplace. Assam os like rocket fuel!

Don't like Pg T*ps loose leaf. That too is like rocket fuel. Plus it's a blend, rather than a singular variety.

I only drink tea at home (PG tips decaff tea bags) and only drink instant coffee when I'm out (a weak decaff of any sort but not filter or fresh).

I don't like filter or fresh coffee because it's never hot enough - I like a scalding hot cup of whatever it is I'm drinking!

Oh yes, no sugar and only a splash of milk for tea & coffee.

Co-op 99 fair trade loose leaf tea for us made in a ceramic tea pot, we've used the same tea for 37 years now and its the same brand as my Mum and Mr Pots mums used.

According to my Gran Tea bags are made from sweeping up's she told me that when I was a kid and she didn't lie so it must be true

I do drink decaff coffee just one cup after tea made in the filter thingie.

PG Tips tea bags in a teapot first thing in the morning served in a bone china cup and saucer, tiny bit of milk, no sugar. Has to be 'mashed' properly - can't stand it if it's fortnight (too weak) or it can't manage to climb out of the pot.
Nescafe coffee later in the morning, in a bone china small mug, or a small bone china cup and saucer.
At work I have Lady Grey, Assam, English Breakfast or fruit tea served in a one-teapot-cup and saucer affair without milk, or a small china mug of Nescafe with.
As a general rule, I can't drink coffee after 11, it's tea after that and I drink neither tea nor coffee after the sun's over the yard arm. It's time for something else then and I don't mean Horlicks or hot chocolate.

We used to have Rington's tea when I was young, delivered by a little van.

The Rington's Tea man tried to sell us some tea told him we always used Co-op 99 loose so he left us a sample to see if that would change our mind but it didn't. Seen him on the street the other day so someone must have bought from him.

Does loose tea go off? I have packets and packets of it as my husband would drink nothing else (teapot etc) and we brought a load back from a tea factory in Sri Lanka. It clutters up my cupboard but I can't bring myself to just throw it away! Very few people that I know use loose tea.

Aw bless VC. Can you donate it to the WI?

I just crept back in here to say that when I am having my coffee - it needs to be in a mug with a white inside. Otherwise it just doesn't work.
