Round here, people fill there trolly from the cheapie counter, toddles off to a corner of the shop and sort it out, sending the bairns back with pushchairs full of the stuff they don't want!
Remember being in M&S food store recently. I was behind a couple with a trolly full of recently reduced items. Mega reductions....things down from £5 to 50p......as I was leaving the store they were checking their till receipt line by line!
At 34% tight I have to say that I agree with PP- frugility v meaness.
I seem to be the only person/family I know who seldom puts any foodstuff in the bin until it's been through the soup proccess before hand ( even via the freezer)
I love to give generously to my friends/neighbours -( that's a pleasure in life surely????)
As incomes/lifestyles change, we all need to have a 2nd look at how we spend our dosh - and any money 'wasted' eh?

And unless some evil grape flashes a cheap seeds website under my nose I'll buy nothing until this Friday. No shops here...
