I have a 2003 Golf 1.9 diesel - LOVE IT! Really can't fault it. My company car is an Audi A3 2012 and it is rubbish comapred to the golf...

Just been chatting to a neighbour who is doing the clutch on an N reg ?1995 diesel Golf. His family have 4 ancient VWs of various sorts and he wouldn't buy anything else because they are easy to work on (he says). The N reg one he bought for £100 just to take the engine from and put it in his VW Caddy. That's about a year ago and he's still running it!
