I was a donor for years until I threw up and fainted.
They told me never to return as it put others off. It was a stomach bug but I didn't know it at the time. Even when I explained this they turned me away the next time - I felt so rejected
My blood was so simple that anyone could have it so I'd get called out of work to emergency donation sessions. I really would like to donate my blood again. Probably too old now

I gave blood twice a year for 20 years then 3 times a year for about 5 years.
I started taking medication for my depression and they wouldn't take my blood anymore.

I fainted too VC! How embarrassing Had done it loads before, then had a baby so couldnt. had another baby so couldn't, then got myself tattooed and so couldn't, years went by... Then I went back and donated - just before an interview for a job What a day, it's because they made me do that stupid squeeze your bum thing, I was so busy squeezing I think I forgot to breathe!
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

Hahaha! I know me too! Now they give you this instruction card, you have to squeeze in for so many counts, relax for so many etc - To be fair I got confused! I was so busy I'm sure I held my breathe - but then that's what you do when you squeeze your bum -try it ..... SEE!You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...
