Another putor problem.

I am using IE with Windows 7 Pro.

Ever since I got the new putor I have had a problem which I seem unable to resolve, it only happens on the Vine.

When I click my back button to come off a page about 50% of the time nothing happens. If I then click the back button with the right hand button on my mouse I get a list of ://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/n48496.150.

The only way out so far is to close IE and then open the Vine again. If anyone has any ideas it would be great has it is getting ***^^^$$ annoying.

I have Windows 7 Pro too - using Chrome mostly, sometimes IE . Sorry but I don't have your problem, Potty.

then download the add-on, adblock plus - you can disable it on any site you like, but it'll cull any adverts on any others...

I use Chrome as my son insisted I get it. Bonus is that they have Chrome at work now so I'm thought to be a bit 'techie' as I know how to work some things on it Once you get used to the change it's good.

doesn't that use up a lot of memory or something? Or cause clashes/collisions? (you can tell I'm an IT expert, no?)

they're all quite small compared to IE so aren't likely to cause a big conflict. It's useful if you want to log into the same site with different id's.
Or you can shut off pictures in one completely and brwose faster if it's just text you're after.

Noooooooo they work fine.
If you install plugins then these cause issues sometimes with the browser.

If you've not got a very fast computer then it might make it chug but the best thing to do is try it.
If you find you like one best (and you don't need different twitter accounts open then just use the one you like best)

I have lots of tabs open in chrome because thats the one I use most.

I orginally got chrome cos one of the plugins in firefox was causing it to crash - in the end I got rid of the plugin and it's lots more stable now.

I'm with alldigging. I mainly use Chr0me, but also Firef0x and Safar!, and I often have all three running at the same time. My old MacBook doesn't have a huge memory, but it copes admirably (it's faster than me! ) unless Mr.G is on the 'Net at the same time, then it slows down, but that's just because of our appalling connection speed.

I gave up on FF originally, as it used to freeze or hang, and I got so fed up, I changed.

Just reading these post reminds me of my main problem. I really am putor illiterate and have no idea what half you peeps are on about.

Add ons? Plug ins? In my old fashioned world a plug in is an electrical appliance with a three pin plug. Firefox was not that the name of a plane in a Clint Eastwood movie?

Oh well I will get there in the end.
