oh no it isn't <said in seasonal panto style> . It's the start of the rest of our lives. Time to be negative about things only if there is reason to be negative. So reasons to be cheerful should be the tone innit . I know I started the thread mind. I can be such a dork sometimes, Musta been on a downer when I did so

aye but you have got to be able to recognise you are on a downer to know to sing dat songs man. I'm generally positive and even if I do recognise I'm down, I give myself the proverbial kick in the buttocks to get myself motivated. I just think I maybe was mortivated the other day

Spurred on by this thread, and the approaching New Year, I'm going to go public with a little project that has been at the back of my mind for a while. Maybe some of you would like to join me?
I'm going to do 52 things next year that I either have never done before or have done but not for a long time. So its a different challenge each week. My challenges will be different to yours obviously but I though it would be good to tell each other what we had done each week and be inspired by them to do something new. It could be something very simple like visiting a place you've never been to before, tasting something new or trying out a new craft. Just broadening my horizons really. Some of the things may be complete flops while others may be so good that they would become part of life.
                  Anyone up for the challenge?

Gosh....52 things.....ummmmm....think, think, think....might be good therapy, huh? And it needn't be expensive either.

Meeting some Grapes, mastering something new on the 'puter or my camera, crochet, growing celeriac, ummmm......I need a notebook - actually a 'one week to a page' diary might be a handy thing here. If we can't think of fifty two things straight away I'm sure more stuff will occur to us throughout the year.

                    Okay. Yep. Let's do it!

That makes two of us then Jules And they're exactly the sort of things I had in mind to do!! I have no idea what my 52 challenges will be, I can only think of a dozen or so, but I'm sure we'll get ideas from what others are doing. Start thinking ready for January!!

Aww I would love to do the 52 challenge but not a good time for it right now. On my list would be Julesapple's growing celeriac with added aubergine, carrot and celery (sounds like the beginnings of a nice meal that)
