  • Just been out for lunch
Had mixed icecream and sorbets for dessert
Garnished with very minty sprig of mint
Said mint is home in a glass of water - hope it roots
I've never tried growing from garnishes before!!

            • I have nothing to read. Okay, that's a lie. We have thousands of books. I just don't know which one I want to read. Again. I've spent every evening, and some afternoons this week, in France with Peter Mayle. We've done this many times, Peter and I, and I'm not sure I'm ready to return to Winter.

I have to find something sunny to read.....

Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?

              • Have you tried Driving over Lemons? or the Olive Farm. Think they're the titles anyway!

                • I have the 'Driving Over Lemons' set, and a few others by Chris Stewart, but I'm afraid Carole Drinkwater is not my taste. But you've reminded me.....Annie Hawes!

                  • Or Blackberry Wine by Joanne Harris. Can be read a few times, no bother.

                      • I love travel inspired books. Traipsing off to another country, back immediately that you're needed, but knowing you can leave again as soon as you reopen the book.

You can leave home for another country, another universe or another era, depending on your taste, your whims. Excellent stuff.

I've just finished reading "The Morville Hours" and "The Morville Year" by Katherine Swift. Really enjoyable, about making a garden, but other bits and thoughts in there too. Got one from the library, the other on Kindle.
