Well I didn't walk away with the pound. In fact it wasn't even a pound it was one of those disks off a key ring thingie. Got a super smile in thanks. If I'd been thirty years younger I'd have been smiling back

Any ideas on how to use 5 bags of sliced button mushrooms, a bag of sliced Jalapenos and 4 sachets of blue cheese sauce? That lot cost me 20p - 2p an item Where does the money go these days

Mushroom soup. Chop the jalapenos finely, mix with cream cheese, roll into a fat sausage, wrap in clingfilm and freeze. When very firm, slice into discs, flour, egg & breadcrumb the discs and fry until crisp. Thanks Jules! They seem to be toppings for pizzas - apart from the blue cheese sauce. Huge bags 500g of mushrooms. Think I may cook parsnips and coat them with the sauce and have pasta tonight with mushrooms and a few jalapenos with sauce. I'll bung the rest in the freezer for now I like surprise cooking best!!
