What Is Your Fav & Least Fav Month?

Just sat here thinking "I can't wait for spring" so if I had to choose, my least fav would be November, clocks just gone back, dark nights, dark mornings & worse to come.......My fav has to be April, clocks gone forward, lots to plan & do..........I know, I suffer from SAD.........

Dec my least favourite as I find Christmas brings out the worst in some people. I love feb as I am always out of the country somewhere hot!

I like February too, days are stretching and it's my buffday month but possibly August from a gardening point of view as that is when the plot is at its most productive. Least favourite must be January. Nothing growing,always cold, money all going in the same direction ----------------> outwards.

November is the worst because, as you said, the clocks have just gone back, the days are so short and the evenings so long and it can only get worse. Not very keen on December because of the Christmas hype, but from today onwards it just keeps on getting better and better. Favourite month is March, spring flowers, clocks going forward, birds nesting, trees greening up, long, light, lazy evenings stretching ahead for months.............

I dislike all the months from November till the end of Feb - I get SAD and it's bad this year

I often take a real dislike to March cos from inside it looks lovely but looks can be deceiving

April holds promise and there's lots to do, likewise May - but my favorite month is June with all the roses and cottage flowers it's a beautiful time in the garden. Just love it

I was going to say January as the worst but then I thought about the seeds I can start sowing so I think my least favourite is November ......most favourite is probably August purely because it's usually the most productive vegwise...

I concur. All seasons beautiful. Nights drawing in is Mother Natures way of slowing you down after all those efforts through Spring and Summer. She's genius!

Any month where the pressure is low for more than a few days is bad for me, but from mid December i get worse due to lack of daylight and the winter rains and dont improve until mid Febuary. Its the arthitus in my neck and hands that gets bad in the winter and grinds me down. Roll on Spring.

I hate January - always a long, boring month. Once we've got January out of the way, the rest of the year just seems to zip by.

A favourite month is harder - any month with some sunshine is good, even Winter sunshine. Next year, I think July is going to be favourite.......

January is my least favourite..it seems to be a bit of a 'time filler' between Christmas and Spring flowers poking their heads above the soil.

Favourite?...March- for all the reasons others have said, but also it's my birthday! And being a big kid at heart I've always looked forwards to it.
Mothering Sunday,my birthday, clocks change,sometimes Easter, first flush of sun on your face and arms so I can enjoy the garden/plot.

Love them all as every month brings something different to the landscape. Although any month with endless rain/cloud will get me down.

May is special for the freshness of the vegetation, November because of the anticipation of the first snowfall and the mountains going from brown to white overnight, January because it feels as though we have the mountains to ourselves. March and April because there is so much to do I always sleep well!

July I think perhaps the least - it gets busy with the tourists, but then the hard graft in the garden is over so I can relax.

Nope, can't choose!! My sympathy to SAD sufferers, it must be truly awful.
