^^^That is a great suggestion^^^ Wear high heels and swagger a lot, you'll pass for a dramatic actress. Nobody will look twice...well OK they will. Anyway I hope you're tucked up with a glass of something nice. They'll always return. Yeah, you definately wouldn't be the only one! I remember going to stay with the irish girls in Ireland one holidays, when the parents brought us all to the night boat back to the UK, all the girls were sobbing, and all the parents trying to be brave and let them go. In the finish I ended up crying, because it was just so sad!Ali

I've been doing the airport thing for over 30yrs with my sister and I seem to get worse as the years go by. I didn't go to the airport this time, done a quick "cheerio" and hug then practically ran out of Mum's house to the car.
I dread to think what it must be like when it's one of your kids.

We'll look after her for you Mrs W. I know how you feel tho - my big boy told me he's going to work his way around oz. I said yes, right. Well, I'm sure you'll have fun.
And then went home and thought about how many fb friends I have in different states, and decided I'd alert them when he entered and left their state! But I'm not telling him lol.
Hard to let go.Ali

When I went off to Oz for 2 years I wouldn't let my parents take me to the train station, a friend did it. I knew it would upset them to say goodbye and that would upset me too so it was better not to let it happen, least not in public. It was all a big adventure for me, but my parents believed I would never come back - two different sides to the same coin.

I cried at the sight of my kids in the nativity! I cried when #1 son went to scout camp. I even cried when he returned I cry at the thought of the bill when #1 daughter drags me in Hollister.

I found it very hard last weekend - #1 Son took twenty minutes to get down our hallway (yes, I know it's long, but....) and down the drive into the Secret Girlfriend's car. He really did not want to be away from home for Christmas for the first time ever. It was hard for me, not because he was going, but because I knew he didn't want to go.
I've never struggled on first days at school/uni/college. You're going to see them again at the end of the day/term and my lot were happy to be starting school/uni/college anyway.
I do have issues with all of us travelling together - when we went to Switzerland there was eight of us. What if the tin tube we were flying in fell out of the sky? How many people would be affected? That caused me major panic until we landed. I do also have a bit of a thing when we go away as a couple - will the kids be ok if anything happens to us? Just have to grit my teeth and deal with it.Jules
