Maybe they don't sell them this far north, they're technically not considered very suitable for NW England since they get diseases in wet, damp climates such as this and need a hot summer to ripen fruit. However Red haven is supposed to be one of the hardier ones and has some disease resistance. It's probably still not as good as Rochester, Peregrine or Duke of York though.
If I can find it around here I'll try it against a south facing wall. They won't fruit for a few years anyway (3 if I remember right), and the blossom needs protecting if the spring is wet and / or windy or frosty
