Leeks Video.

I have just watched a NVS video with John Soulsby growing blanched leeks.

All I can say is WOW, if you intend growing exhibitions leeks this video is for you.

He has done two Potty, one on Pot leeks, that's the short dumpy ones and also on blanch(long) leeks. Both easy to follow and he has a warts n all approach.

I was very impressed with his presentation and his setup. As you know I grow to eat not for show but info gleaned from a souce like that can always be helpful to us lesser mortals.

He did mention that your branch of the NVS had been on a visit to his place. did you partake?

I don't think Scottish Branch have ever gone to John Soulsby's but he does welcome visits from Gardening clubs and the likes. He is a real enthusiast and also breeds shows and sells poultry. You will have heard the cockerels in the video

All I can say is if he does as well with his chickens as he does with his leeks he will have some very big chooks.
