Have spent the later part of the evening at one of our local pubs - full, as you might expect, with a mixed group of regulars, kids & diners.
Music (70's - sweet caroline, summer nights, staying alive etc) between 10.30 and 11.30 had the teenagers - surprisingly - struting their stuff; later, the 80's music got all the grown up's dad-dancing (tainted love, baggy trousers, 99 red balloons etc). One group of three couples had clearly bribed a 20 yr old son to be the designated driver, and he (a Brian Cox lookalike) was clearly mortified by the whole experience
Highlight of the night - apart from traditional tear-jerker auld lang syne - all up to 'gangnam style'. Including designated driver Brian Cox.
