got myself a shiny new haynes manual, and attempted to change the aux belt. Bought a shiny new socket set to loosen alternator bolts.

Bolt number 1 - easy peasy
Bolt number 2 - broke a new shiny socket. Must have been tightened by superman

One simple job means I have to take it to the garage now where they will tut over my rounding off of nuts.

Thought it was time I popped in here again!

This time it's ruddy Storage Radiators. It's like a ruddy oven in here. It takes around two or three days to get the temperature adjusted, then the weather changes again...

One of the many reasons we're not staying here any longer than we have to.

vegan self righteous girlfriend of my father in law , who is getting increasingly irritating.
The nonsense rubbish from dubious sources she has posted on facebook to show my (vegetarian) 16 year old son is ridiculous. Thankfully he has a higher IQ than her and knows how to analyse and discredit sources.
He has just pointed out to her (whilst she was in the throes of telling us how cruel it is to take honey from bees) that killing slugsetc is just as bad - yet slugs etc have to be killed so she can eat vegetables.
