I'm sure they know you're thoughts are with them and if you could change things for them, you would

Please stop telling me about the ball boy - I'm really not interested.

thats why we got rid of sky .....always losing signal due to slightest bit of weather.

          • Awaiting paperwork. Yes, you're all perfectly aware that I don't 'do' waiting very well. Having been told that it may take a week or so, I was actually expecting it to have arrived by now. Especially since it is over TWO WEEKS since we had the conversation.

Just HOW DIFFICULT is it to put a form in an envelope, address it, stick a stamp on it and post the chuffin' thing FFS!!!? Get yer finger out!!!!!!

            • Weather forecasts.

As late as mid afternoon, the BBC site had 'heavy snow' due in my area from 6pm to midnight. This did not happen - we actually had some sleet and wet snow.

This affected me in a number of ways - my assistant went home at lunchtime to avoid the inevitable chaos that heavy snow brings; my plans to pick mum up to go weekly shopping after work; my neighbour's plans to travel back from north London to avoid the snow (she would have stayed at her friend's wedding reception until much later had she not worried about being able to get home); and - most essentially for me - the visit to the PUB later on.

So, my assistant lost a half day's holiday for no reason, and I lost her work input for the afternoon. I still went to pick mum up to go shopping, but went to the local Sainsbury's which hasn't got a cafe rather than the one half a dozen miles up the road which does, where we can have a natter and cup of tea & cake. I didn't get a cuddle with my neighbour's cats who I feed when they are away, as my neighbour had cut short her trip.

However, there was a trip to the pub.

              • Having told me to 'just buy the coffee and do it' I now find that the kitchen is 'too busy' to serve the coffee, too hard. How hard is it putting filter paper in, coffee in, water in and press a button?

Having had a great night last night, but late, dragged two teenage girls out to pony club morning (yes have it on the only w/e we have a 3 day event in our village why don't you?) Needed to get a certificate signed and joined for this year for an event that's on next w/e, that they can't be bothered sending the information for anyway. Dropped said teens, horse, paperwork, went to get money, move a swing set for someone, get back to pony club.......nothings cooked? Well no, I just drove up fgs! So I cook the snags get everything ready. Force someone to sign a card then stand around waiting while they don't finish up for lunch. Someone else comes back, Yells out about the bbq will she turn it off? No, I've just turned it off, will I cook something for lunch? No, I've........I KNOW you've turned the bbq off but we need something for lunch.
That would be the sausages in the oven keeping warm.....and then tired teen has a dummy spit when we get home.
                I have a headache, we're not talking.........should be a bluddy good weekend!

Sorry just had to get it all out iin case I throttle someone tonight.

                  • Stupid NHS depts - I wear hearing aids - prescribed and supplied by Disablement Resettlement Scheme from a hospital in Selly Oak Birmingham. Last time I went down for a check up and new prescription, consultant said to me that I did not need to come to Brum for repairs/maintenance ... my local PCT should be able to do this for me. So ... my right aid is not working properly. Contact the local Audiology dept - do they have a 'repair' clinic? Yes they do.
Oh good - can I have an appointment? No you can't. We don't know you - we don't have your notes, we might not even use the same hearing aids that you wear.
You don't need my notes - I just want the aid fixed - it will probably have to be sent away to the manufacturer anyway.
No, you will have to go back to the clinic that supplied it.
Suppose the clinic was in Scotland?
                    Sorry - we can't help.
                    Aaarggghhhh!
Ring the Clinic in Brum and explain.
Yes we have a walk in clinic Monday to Friday, 9-12. Just turn up if you are an existing patient. If you are a new patient you will need an appointment.
How can they do it and bl**dy Stoke-on-Trent can't? !!! So 80 mile round trip on Tuesday.
