being woken up three times during the night and told to turn over cause I'm snoring. Then once she was up and I was still sleeping being called through to deal with a puddle on the bathroom floor.

Puddle on the bathroom floor. No sign of where it has come from. No obvious leaking pipes or radiator or from porous pot.

No sign of water coming through ceiling from flat roof on dormer. Had a look at outside of dormer and there are puddles from really heavy rain last night, felt isn't brilliant but no obvious sign of splits or holes.

Is the puddle near your loo ?
It may be condensation from cold cistern in warm bathroom.

Nope matey, right in middle of floor. Checked light fitting to see if water had come in through there but bone dry. It's vynil paint and no signs of cracks or splits . Had bath panel off and no sign of anything there. Water is clear and not yellow So no-one has been sleepwalking. Got me totally flummoxed.

If the floor is not perfectly level the drips may have been from condensation but puddle formed away from the cause?

Plumber goes and I go to check and the water runs and runs and runs and runs....so have to call back up and the other plumber will attend...sometime before 6.

hope your not a meter zaz,plus if its going full tilt it will splash everywhere,maybe you could turn the stop cock of on the front,
