No it wasn't leaking anywhere. The numpty hadn't opened it properly so it was all trying to get through a tiny gap so it was loud and taking ages.

All sorted. Missed my sending post window though. And can't find my purple fountain pen. Grrr.

Funnily enough I can't find my purple ink pen although in my case I suspect daughter.

This is not a very minor rant, because I am livid, Unfortunately, not livid enough to stay warm.

In the kitchen the flap on the gas boiler is rattling, so I go over to make sure the blu tack is still there. Oh look! The heating went off at 8pm. Did you turn the boiler off? No? Boys, did you change the timer on the boiler? No.....Hmmm. We must have boiler faeries. Again.

So, I spend my afternoon making your Valentine's gift and you spend yours making me cold. You know with hypothyroidism that I get incredibly cold and it's bleddy hard to get warm again.

And did you save any energy? Well, no. I've just spent ages in the bath, constantly topping up the water. And, of course, the house is so cold already and, by the morning, the temperature will have dropped hugely. And then the boiler will use much, much, more energy heating up an ice cold house from scratch - and this is a big house, with massive picture windows in every room. They are metal framed and, technically, no longer double glazed as the hermetic seal went years ago.

Well done. Excellent. Victory for mankind (from his seat right next to the radiator)

Having got your ready for bed - what? of course my bloomin' hands are freezing cold you numpty - half of that duvet is mine, so hand it over. You're cold? Tough thit......

Porridge was awful this morning so threw that. Toast was pretty dire too and there was no marmite!!!!!!
