And if thats not a proper rant.... I'll have Rats - everywhere, but only beacause the house over the road is falling down, its full of it. The council are 'aware' but wont do anything. The people next door to it had to move after the rats got in their sewer. I do hope we're not next!

Got to find a jacket type thing to wear to a wedding. Next Saturday. Hate shopping for clothes. Used to have a lovely jacket that would have one but appear to have lost mind and thrown it out.

Email this morning that yes! Indeed, I do need to fill in the paperwork for the police checks that are supposed to have been in progress since early January.
So I downloads the forms and prints them (altho the ink is running out of course! so that's two rants) and I fill them in, I scan them and other docs (and that ruddy scanner is a b*****d) and then I manages to plug the lappy into a power source BEFORE it cuts out, and send it back to the HR and cc to the unit manager. With a request for them to check that they are correct, and readable, and that way I'll know they got the d@mn things.
Ahhh, but here's number 3 - the thing was sent from a flippin ruddy invalid email address ie we can tell you what to do, but you can't do it, because it won't come back to us! Haha - slam. Sorry I couldn't stop myself.
Number 4: phoned unit manager who is 'in a meeting right now, but I'll send them on and it will be like a 3 day turnaround.......but the starting date is set in concrete).
Yes, well I'd LOVE to start on that date, if it gets done in time. She says, oh there's plenty of time...thinking that I'm going to reduce my time off if they don't get their finger out?
Ahhhh health systems. You have to love them because they're the same everywhere you go. And if I hadn't started annoying them about it last week they still wouldn't have noticed that it wasnt done! I think she may be getting the idea I'm not going to be easy to hassle.......well not quietly anyway
