    • National cat rescue charities who make you feel you are making a completely unreasonable request when enquiring about rehoming a kitten. Yes I know it's early in the year but I didn't exactly plan when my last cat was going to die and when we would feel like having another.
I hope this is just a bad experience on my part and not typical.

      • Sadly, Wendy, it is fairly typical. You may have better luck going to your local Vet practices, they usually have notice-boards full of adverts. Also ask at any Farms and Stables in your area. Good luck!

I feared as much. I have also rung vets but nothing there. I thought I would be welcomed with open arms and at least details taken for the future. One has never rung me back.

          • Have you tried Preloved? Facebook? Is there a Cat version of ePupz?

Just type into gurgle; 'cats for sale X' with X being your town/county - and see what there is... Good luck!

My rant is, erm, yes, well, I'll be back with one soon enough, no doubt.

            • Yes I've tried allsorts. I think it is the time of year there's my many around. OH drew line at £500 for a Bumese I found online! Just trying to do the right thing and not encourage excess breeding by going to a breeder and trying for a rescue one. I've got the word out locally so something will turn up soon no doubt. Thanks for suggestions.

Wendy if you are prepared to travel, there are places that are crying out for responsible cat owners. Have you tried Cats Protection League? SAA in Manchester are one I follow and are desperate for people to rehome. RSPCA I am fast losing patience with. In fact that and toothache can be my rant

                • Bit early in the year for kittens Wendy, but there are loads of older cats for rehoming.

My rant - being landed with 3 grandchildren for sleepover instead of the 1 I was expecting.

Parcel delivery companies; Specifically the red one, this time, whose Pillocks decided to send an urgent parcel back to the despatch address, instead of the delivery address. Now, the best we can hope for is delivery on Monday, so our poor customer will be cold for yet another weekend.

Can't get to speak to anyone at Cats Protection. RSPCA were the rude ones. Most charities won't rehome out of their area as they want to inspect homes, which is fair enough. Will just have to be patient I guess.
Sorry you have toothache. Got rid of mine today after 2 weeks at very nice dentists. Sorry not a rant.
