Not sure what week I am on. i think I started at the second week of the challenge.
This weeks challenge is done. The old floor is lifted, the presses are emptied and the freezer if emptied into the other freezer in the shed. Lots of running up and down the garden in the freezing cold. Old flooring out in the back lane waiting for a skip to arrive.
Next weeks challenge, to hold my nerve when the whole thing kicks off.
Electi rcian arriving in the morning. Floor going down on Wednesday and new kitchen arriving on Thursday.
Going to be a long week as they won't be working over the Easter weekend, so it will go on into next week.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
You sure you haven't been cohorting with her from the GR ? That does tend to deplete the get up and go
Certainly not!! I have been nowhere near the GR of late...Last I heard it was getting a makeover for the reopening and that the staff were also going to be upgraded
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Made 2 more Dorset apple cakes but this time with apple and mushy peach ( fiddled with 3 totally different recipes too!)
Just made 3 large trays of fat 'balls'- cut into large flapjack sized pieces. Never done it before- but it seems to have worked ( just need to let OH know they aren't frozen flapjacks!!!!!)
Just off to cut the back lawn now ...but that doesn't count as something new does it?- oh well!

Did nothing last week. Well, did lots. But none of it was challenging or new.
This week made hot cross buns for the first time. Actually hot crossless, fruitless bricks. Not good.
