If you goggle 'ball covered with pennies' you'll see it's not an original idea VC. And everyone else seems to get their pennies to fit. I had to do two layers to cover all the gaps - maybe 'cos I didn't use an actual ball...Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
Endless wonder.

Week 15 Challenge
Clean the Windows
This is one of the Challenges that I use to think of other things to add on the Challenge list - amazing what you can think of when 'cleaning the windows' is the alternative.
However, if life's a box of chocolates, you can't always avoid that hard toffee one that breaks your teeth, so this morning I manned up, put on the waterproof apron and marigolds, and got the steps, bucket, sponge, cloth and squeegy out.
It took bloody ages to do both inside and out - I certainly had ample time to contemplate the astonishing number of windows there appear to be in but a modest end terrace (that's 10, including two Velux, plus a couple of glass doors, and the window over the top of the front door).
The weather was kind, though, the rain holding off until just after I'd finished , and the real bonus is that this time, I managed not to tip the bucket of water off the top of the steps all down my front, whilst in the front garden.
A Challenge well and truly done!Attached Files

My Week 15 challenge kept being foiled this week. Last Wednesday I was booked to go on a behind the scenes tour of a local National Trust house - it was overbooked
Then I should have gone to a party last night - my first for many years - but the rain was so heavy that I couldn't face a 75 mile drive down the motorway. so didn't go
So for this week, my last resort challenge has been to sow 13 varieties of kale as part of my cunning plan to be self-sufficient in green stuff all year round. - Done!!!

VC - I want to hedge my bets for week 16
I have a chess match on Tuesday evening which I need to win.
I also have to prepare a 40 minute presentation for Thursday evening's Family History meeting
If I don't make either of these, which is exceedingly possible, I'll set myself another challengeEndeavour to have lived, so that when you die, even the undertaker will be sorry - Puddinghead Wilson's Diary
