        Week 2 - 7th January - 13th January

I never though there would be 27 of us taking up the challenge!! There have been some inspiring challenges too - including some that I will shamelessly plagiarise
Its never too late for anyone else to join in!!
Let Week 2 commence - Good luck

Week 2 new challenge for me is to pick the suits for my forthcoming "event".....
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Week 2; Sorting out the absolute carp left in the attics by the DD, and turning it back into a clean & tidy useful space.

This morning has yielded dozens of full bin bags and a large estate car packed full for a tip trip. It is very demoralising finding bits of your treasured china lobbed carelessly into the far reaches of the attic spaces. It's not cash-valuable but it has huge sentimental value and it started off being wrapped & packed very carefully in boxes. Lord only knows why it's now everywhere.....

Week 2 - Challenge set by Mr PP.
To use excel without swearing at it for a whole week. I used to be competent at it and am now VERY rusty plus I'm running a newer version where all the useful functions seem to be somewhere else now. Gits (doesn't count).
The secret may be to keep the program closed this week.
So he said the same applies to GIMP which I only started using last week and confuses the he...ck out of me.
I may not achieve this challenge.

I'll be back on Sunday with an update. Or not.

                    Week 2.
Defrost and declutter the two freezers in OH shed. Keep putting it off as its too cold in there but putting it on here will make me do it.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                      My challenge for the year.
Finish ALL the half knitted garments I have been knitting over the years and hopefully wearing some of them.

And your hands begin to harden.

                        Week 2

For my second challenge I decided to buy a bag of lime and lime the bed intended for future Brassicas.

It being a lovely sunny day I duly bought said bag and transferred the required amount for the bed into a tub formerly containing fat balls. So far so good but as I have often heard "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions"

On arrival at the allotment I duly put in the number for the combination padlock but it failed to click open, I turned it, twisted it , shook it and banged it, alas to no avail.

I reset the numbers several times back to 0000 which I normally do when leaving the site with no result.

So my week 2 challenge will have to wait till I return to the allotment armed with WD40and a pickaxe

[VC if this is a wrong post for this blog my apologies and just delete it - I suppose I could have put it on the 'rant blog']

Another day or so in the attics, and more tip trips, and my Week 2 challenge will be complete. Then maybe I can move on to Week 3, which is listing shedloads of junk found in the attics on ebay.

My week 2 challenge was going to be to make a backup disc of my pc operating system, but as it's in so many bits and pieces with all the updates I had to add to get it back to a useable state, I find myself reluctant to move and mess stuff around too much, in case I lose the whole lot again. So....my challenge this week is to make a pledge to back up every file I add to or alter, onto a flashcard, EVERY DAY.

                            (so far, so good)

Today I completed my 2nd challenge and put lime on 2 beds and watered it in

[As a matter of interest the padlock had to be replaced]
