My unexpected challenge was to Make an appointment at the dentist's and have my front tooth repaired. Its been sorted and was so much easier than I feared that I'm going to find another challenge for this week

My 3rd week challenge was to fit a tap to the allotment water butt, and after testing and being confirmed as being leakproof, return the butt to it's rightful place - challenge completed today .

I had made a Wigwam for sweet peas last week, which would also do for runner beans, and whilst I cannot claim it as a challenge, thought I would mention it, as I had never done it before and it increased the length of my arms by 6 inches, which I thought was quite a feat

                Challenge for me this week.
Teach my grandaughter how to knit. She has asked my so many times I have decided now is the time.
Bought her a set of kids needles and we will see how it goes.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

My challenge is to clear enough room in the garage to put the car in out of the snow and ice - and to do it tomorrow before we have another lot

                      • This week is a proper challenge, sort the seed packets into some sensible system & storage method

                        • I was going to do an outdoor challenge in the garden, but the snow and frost has scuppered that, so, echoing BB, decided to sort seeds. I've emptied out the tin that holds all the seed packets, and catalogued them in excel (so I could sort alphabetically easily). I can't believe that I've got 48 packets of veg seeds (opened, unopened, and freebies), and 21 pkts flower seeds, some home saved.

Now I have a neat list, though still not a neat tin, (why tidy that when I have a neat list to tell me what's in there?). I can cross them off as and if I use them.

Not really much of a challenge, but definitely something not done before, otherwise I wouldn't have so many carrot seeds, when I know I can't grow the blessed things!

(I may send some your way to the VSP, VC, 'cos there's deffo some I'll never use due to garden size, and/or discovering I don't really like them )

And it is so I haven't. Maybe next week.

Instead I've done something else I was worried about which is publishing my last novel via Smashwords.

Its only been on that big tax dodging retailer that they named a river after up to now, partly because it was easy, but also because Smashwords have a reputation for their conversion program (The Meatgrinder) making a right old mess of your work, and rejecting most of it anyway.

Well, I'm boggled to say that it went through first time, looks fine and is now available for just about any electronic reading format. Hurrah.

                            Need a lie down, now.

Mentally, this will really put the cat among the pigeons!

Also, I wanted to plant the new ranunculus bulbs, but will wait until any sner has been and gone now.
