Spent the morning sorting out my computer (mostly because I thought I'd lost/corrupted a vital document).

So now I've got rid of all the duplicate documents and photos. Put everything into folders and then onto Dropbox so I can't lose it. Dumped the unused icons from my desktop and introduced some new ones.

and uploaded the data from my Christmas pressie - a weather station. Sad.

Managed to avoid doing any work this morning. Result

      • Sorry VC running a little late for week 10 - have sown Sweet Pea and Leek seeds indoors - never grown either before so am keeping my fingers crossed :-)

For week 11 I intend to tidy the garage so I can get to the freezer without climbing over compost bags (5), sack barrow, workmate bench, tool boxes (2), wheelbarrow, large flower tub, plastic sheets (4), plastic greenhouse and various garden tools - I may be some time

            • Week 11

This week I wanted to take a step towards oil painting again. I know I can't start it right now but i'm hoping to paint down at the plot when the weather warms up. I've only done 4 paintings before and that was almost 20 years ago.

So, my challenge was to re learn the basics, I looked out the art materials that my boys bought me for xmas a few years ago and got the books off the shelf and dusted them down. I've done a few hours reading and chosen what I want to start with. I need to buy a few more paints and will do that before the end of the week and will continue reading up for the next few weeks.

I'm really excited about this as I've wanted to do this for ages and feel bad that the boys had bought me a fantastic gift of the materials and they have lay in a cupboard for a few years.

              • I've still not started cleaning my car and I don't think i'll be cleaning it today. Its cold, damp and miserable out there. I'd rather do my daughters ironing. I don't have any clothes of my own that require ironing. Ohhh the loveliness of retirement and not having to dress for work.

                • My Challenge will be on Sunday - meeting the members of the Cardiff Hops group for the first time, picking up my hops and planting them as they're supposed to be planted that day - St Patrick's Day. (Sunday)

How long will it take from planting the hops to drinking the beer??? Actually that is a serious question!

And when your back stops aching,
