  • I plan to plant potatoes this week - today I dug the remains of the seaweed and the straw into the bed and will get the bed ready for planting tomorrow

Had a little help today as daughter brought grandkids up to the allotment and no.2 worked for 15 to 20 mins digging over the bed. Think he will be the gardener in the family.

    • Continuing on my challenge into this week.
The new floor is in but the kitchen is waiting for work to resume tomorrow after the long weekend.
The electrics are not connected up.
The new washing machine is in the middle of the sitting room floor.
The fridge freezer is out in the conservatory and numerous other bits and pieces all scattered around the house.
We are totally in a heap at the moment.
      Oh well, onward and upward.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

      • Making no apologies for this but my challenge again this week is to make more progress on the greenhouse...
Significant progress made last week, so need to maintain the momentum...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

        • Challenges completed for the first three months of this year.

Taught my two grandaughters to knit.
Defrost the two freezers in OH shed.
          Clear out attic.
Get rid of all the old tapes and cd's not used any more.
          Give toys to charity shop.
Print up and send our family tree to my cousins.
Clean the pots, planters and the greenhouse.
Do the fasting diet for lent.
Dig up bamboo (only half done)
Paint the small bedroom, but when I got started I did two.
Get new kitchen and flooring which is in the process of being installed.
Finished two garments that were left unfinished for a number of years.

The floor and kitchen is not a challenge as such, its dealing with the upheavel, the dust and the dirt.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                    • My challenge for week 15 will be to completely clear the 4 Family History cupboards in the library reading room by Monday morning to allow them to be moved so that a new carpet can be fitted in the room and replace all the the items after the job is completed on Tuesday

I am just making sure I get the warmest greenhouse possible
It will be moved out shortly, once I get it glazed... Anyone know how to use them W type clips...
