BIG Garden Birdwatch 2013 - Countdown

3 weeks to go to this year's event.

Hopefully it will be nicer weather this year as I have to spend an hour sat in my garden to see all my feeder sites......

Two weeks to go now, off to Far Ings bird reserve today to refresh my spotting skills.

Just ONE week to go now. 8 chaffinchs and 20+ starlings seen over this weekend in the back garden. Please keep feeding them and don't forget fresh water is so important too.

Let's hope the weather improves for next weekend's big event.

I'm hoping the weather stays bad as it brings different birds into the garden. At the moment we have a Redwing regularly visiting us along with the usual suspects.

yes, got bird feeder stocked up and have informed boys at my school of link so they can sign up! one of them says he has green parrots in his back garden....?!

He certainly could have Petal, one has even been seen (by me) as far North as here!

I didn't intend to count but there were very few birds in the garden yesterday - hailstones instead.
