Just checked where Derby is . I might be able to come as I have a sister living near Lincoln and might be able to stop with her for a night or two. A visit to son in Hull as well would make the most of the petrol
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

With snow currently blanketing the Midlands? Probably not!

May Bank Holiday? Or were you thinking more immediate? You'll need to think of somewhere that can accommodate quitea few people, and where there's nearby sleeping facilities for those who can't do there and back in one day...

I might pop along if the date and place suits; but so booked up for weekends at the moment I can't confirm anything yet.

As long as there is some sort of garden based activity or purchasing involved, with coffee featuring on the highlights I'd be more tempted.

Only just seen this thread! A group of us were going to do this last year? Year before? Jeanie, Pisk, Wayne, Me... can't remember them all. In the end we couldn't all make the same date, so it fizzled out.

                        Count me in!

I'd love to join a meet-up, but everywhere ever suggested is over 4hrs drive away maybe that's not a coincidence

Looking at the train map; all trains seem to lead to Birmingham; what are the fares to Brum like on a Saturday if booked in advance? The Botanical Gardens are there of course...
