16.50 each way for me from Leeds, would be better than a potentially 4 hour drive each way (would be less in a car that goes faster than 50mph with a tail-wind ), but means no bringing along of spare plants etc. Will have to see how the finances are doing once the date is set, I keep forgetting we're doley-scroungers now

Of course it would be cheaper if 1 person drove and there were 3 or 4 grapes bundled together. Buy one get 2 or 3 free.

If I went I'd drive anyway - so any locals would be welcome to have a lift - if my family didn't come (doubt they would!)

I have a car with a big boot too. I'd probably look for a travel lodge or similar if it was an overnight job - or might even pop up to derby to see my family and pop back in the morning.

If I went, I'd have to come back same day because of the dogs and it looks like a couple of hours travel each way - however I went - car, bus, train. I'm non-committal at the mo.

Not sure, could fit 6 or so with room for plants. 10 stacked and probably 15 or so if I chopped them all up first !!

Agreed (albeit optimistic to hope for such a thing) mainly on the grounds that they do have such great entertainment at the bandstand, being surrounded by lawn is ideal place for a picnic

The great must see there is the national Bonsai collection (I have pic's somewhere if wanted) & the hot house is another must.

I couldn't do Easter either. I picked a random saturday - the last one on traveline's calendar. I think it was April 20th.
And I would want to come back the same day too.

I was meaning those that were coming from further afield but I'm not turning down that offer. Do we get one of Mr VVG's coffees before we set off?

Not that I'm high maintenance or anything....but....
