I doubt if I'll come down for it but can recommend the Botanical Gardens which was lovely when I used to frequent the place over 20 years ago - hopefully it's as nice now if not nicer

A group of us were going to do this last year? Year before? Jeanie, Pisk, Wayne, Me... can't remember them all. In the end we couldn't all make the same date, so it fizzled out.

I haven't got a clue where all these places are - Wales is just across a river from Derby and the Midlands, isn't it ?
- but I can go just about anywhere and anywhen, given a) enough warning to book train tickets and b) a patch of ground to park my tent/labrador on.
If anyone knows of a spare patch of ground on an allotment (
not liable to flooding, Hoblette ! 
)...
