I doubt if I'll come down for it but can recommend the Botanical Gardens which was lovely when I used to frequent the place over 20 years ago - hopefully it's as nice now if not nicer

I haven't got a clue where all these places are - Wales is just across a river from Derby and the Midlands, isn't it ? - but I can go just about anywhere and anywhen, given a) enough warning to book train tickets and b) a patch of ground to park my tent/labrador on.
If anyone knows of a spare patch of ground on an allotment (not liable to flooding, Hoblette ! )...There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.
