    • What a shame Actually, I hoped it was part of a series and they'd pulled it from the schedules because it was such rubbish.
      Thanks Thelma!!

          • I only got around to watching it on Saturday evening and alto I have my own garden rather than an allotment, I too thought it was rubbish...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

            ...utterly nutterly

Dude we need to set up that market garden...we could narrow that list down to just dirty.

I thought that too but as everyone else said Essex I thought I'd got it wrong. I thought it was Bexley,Kent, although having lived there whilst at college, it is more South London than deepest rural Kent.

Its not that I want to be, its just so difficult not to be. Even though I've yet to meet him, he's a kindred much younger spirit, and in there lies the problem he's younger so deserves it.

                        • There I have the advantage - I'm about the same age as both of you (added together ) and have met you both - so it gives me great pleasure to be rude to you both equally.

                          • I haven't watched Allotment Wars at all, the title puts me off - Big Style!
Personally I still think the best allotment programme was 'The Big Dig'. It only survived one year due to poor ratings, but it was originally shown by the BEEB at a ridiculous time, when any normal gardener would be...well, gardening

                            • If the title put you off, the content was worse . The problem with growing veg is that it really isn't a spectator sport except to those who already participate. It's not exciting to plant some spuds and then dig them out of the ground 10 weeks later. (except to us) Ratings would always therefore be a problem unfortunately. Sex and rows are spectator sports unfortunately but they wouldn't get away with neekid bodies cavorting among the cabbages so they have to make do with the next best which of course is worse. The programme just had no credibility.
