  • Some brilliant ideas!

    By brilliant, I mean BRILLIANT!

I'm sure some of the more resourceful amongst us have used many of these hints/tips/ideas before, but some really amazed me.

These are some useful tricks - StumbleUpon

Not sure about the remote/velcro one, but the rest...

Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.

    I love this stuff.

May I add mine? (probably only useful for those who can sew, but an old dog can always learn new tricks).

Security pocket, hidden in the seam of your sleeve.

Brilliant idea - my ski jacket has something similar.

Yep, that's where I got the idea, from a ski jacket. I saw one in the back-of-the-neck lining too, a great hidey place for cash if you're touristing. I love pockets: women's clothes never have enough.

It's why I love my 3/4 lengths - the pockets on the thigh are a great place to put my phone/wallet. Virtually impossible to be pick-pocketed.

Great work making the zip/pocket yourself though!

            Those are brilliant tips!

Wish we could get Toll House chips over here without paying a small fortune for them. And bread tags...we have those stoopid bits of tape instead.

Those ideas are so simple you kinda feel a bit thick for not thinking of them yourself......

I don't need any help feeling thick!

For example, the bread tags - I had plumb forgotten that we don't have them any more!

I think we all need to move away from the idea of buying a gadget which will do a specific job, when something ( perhaps a bit less pretty or Blue Peterish) will do the job just as well!

It's not an indication we can't afford the 'real thing' but that we are recycling.
                Those ideas are just fantastic!

Have to say that I REALLY love the tennis ball towel holder!!

They are in the yellow bag that's being sealed with a bottle top. Nestle Toll House do speciality chocolate chips for baking. You can get loads of flavours, colours and sizes of chocolate chips (or morsels as they're called) An American friend used to send them over for me.

I wondered how the tennis ball towel holder was attached to the wall?

Wayne....you just got me hooked on StumbleUpon More stuff I want to make....

Thanks Wayne - some fantastic ideas - most of which I've forgotten already Those trouser/skirt hangers with the clips - I'm sure they could be used in the greenhouse for attaching to bubblewrap instead of the clothes pegs I normally use

I was wondering the same thing. Also, with my track record of using knives, perhaps noto something I should attempt without the presence of a responsible adult.

                      StumbleUpon is great!

Stick velcro to back of remote - stick remote to dog, then the remote comes to you when you call. And if the dog's already on the couch - sorted.
