BB there's a lovely seed shop in the old town tucked between two restaurants and goes through from one road to another .....lady chucked in some extra packets for me. Hope you're gonna splash out and take your good lady to Mozart's , fantastic food and even more fantastic toilets
Watch it in the farmers market , some of them are shysters but I'm sure you know that..

A doddle, BB! Though the 4th photo ? Cabo Girao (or something) is giving me vertigo just looking at it. I remember hearing that the cows live in little cowhouses on the side of these cliffs and they have to blindfold them when they move them, or they're too scared to walk. I know the feeling!!

Its all coming back, BB and it must be 20 years since I was there. One year we went over to Porto Santo for a few days - so quiet in comparison and, by coincidence, I came across a print of the island here today and decided that it could go.
There was a photography museum in Madeira, all the old photos that had been taken of islanders - in a tiny little shop. Going to goggle it now -see if it still exists

Churchills was closed when we went as well.........Shop directions .......start at cble car on the main road with your back to the sea, turn right and follow road into old town, its on that road before you get to the fishermans church , tucked in between two restaurants...just looks like a doorway no big shop window...We never ate at the marina we tried all the places in the old town ..
Mozarts is a set menu with unlimited booze ,about five courses. Thursday night was chefs night and plenty of fish but you need to book....

Cheers Bin's should be able to find that the allotments have been there a long time but were VERY rundown, but as they were severely damaged in the floods (about 4 years ago) they have had a new lease of life with modern fencing & all those nice sheds looks very upbeat now
