Wind generation.

I've just been trawling the net, eBay and the search tool on the vine for anything that might lead me to the navarna that is wind power on my plot. I saw once and old boy up on another plot was trying (I don't know how successfully) to use an old bicycle with fins on the wheel and a dynamo to power his shed. Now I have an abundance of wind, evident from my wild hair and watering eyes, but no means of harvesting it without spending a couple of hundred pounds. So please, has anyone had the notion of how to build their own wind turbine?

Ps.. On the cheap. This is an allotment after all.

Always looking for a project. You'd think someone would have come up with a cheep one that can run a bulb. I may give the Frankenstein bicycle/ dynamo a go..
