They do tend to respond quite quickly to posts on their Facebook page, if you use that medium.

I have had problems in the past with Thompson and Morgan regarding the delivery of some things especially Potatoes, Last year I thought 'ooh great there not a bad price' but obviously every else thought the same and i was at the beginning of the queue they said but I got my potatoes too late for my liking so by the time I got them and then chitted them they were way late. I have also had plants like Fuchsias which have failed to grow but they have been helpful when I have phoned up and complained and got a voucher through. Also have been helpful by giving a voucher for when something was out of stock so they are slow and I think a little overpriced on many products but they can be helpful at times I prefer to go elsewhere and get free delivery or cheaper delivery if i don't need anything in particular or a particularly big order my opinions though!

My interpretation would be they could turn up any time up to the and of April.

May 1st I would be straight on the phone, til then, sit tight, they're not late yet.

By the looks of this i would say its a common problem then.
Although they seem to to respond to problems quickly and have a good customer response they DONT seem to learn by thier mistakes

This is fair enough, but honestly if they're not going to answer their emails then they shouldn't have a customer care email address and then I wouldn't be sat waiting for a response.

To begin with I shouldnt have to be chasing up an unreceived order - if it's delayed then a quick automatic email signalling this due to weather conditions etc is not hard to do. But if I do have to chase up an order I shouldn't then have to chase up the lack of response to an email I sent to chase up the order.

Unfortunately I've not had the time to phone them, but have sent a second email (an entire working week since the last). Awaiting response.

I have a problem with them at the moment - ordered some tuberose back in November on a special offer to be delivered end of Feb 2013. They sent me a couple of update emails to show they hadn't forgotten and that I'd still be getting my tubers at the end of last month. Nothing has arrived, so I sent off an email to them on Friday.

This is the second time they've sent something late, last year it was fuchsia plugs which I sent an email about and they replied (can't remember what they said) and the fuchsias arrived a couple of weeks later. I was OK with this as they do say that growing conditions etc might mean the plugs got sent out late. What I wasn't happy with was that they told me the fuchsias were hardy and this year they are saying they are half hardy, after mine died over the winter.

So that's two plant orders out of...... four plant orders, all on special offers. I've had no problems with seed orders, although they did send me a packet of seeds which wasn't what it claimed to be and when I did a negative review for some reason the review has never been posted.

Spoke to them about this on Friday. I rang on the 1st March was told delivery in next couple of weeks. When I rang on Friday, two weeks later, it's now by end of April. The lady just kept saying "that's what the system is showing". I explained I didn't have access to her system so how would I know further delayed. She didn't seem to believe me that it was originally end of February dispatch. Have to wait and see I guess.

End of April?! Wow much longer than I thought... Really thought my tree would be here by the end of the month. Just seems a tiny bit too long to deliver the tree. I understand weather conditions need to be taken into consideration but not all of us are going to stick it outside when it's snowing!

Thanks for the info Wendy. I was going to phone them next week to see what was happening. Hope we get them sooner than the end of April! Fingers crossed.

It's not just the planting out. Sitting around in transit in drafty freezing conditions need to be avoided as well.

I understand that. Just two months late is a bit hard to take...

i emailed them over a plant order and it took a week to get back to me. i have phoned them up and they say a lot of stuff is delayed due to the weather. i said that an email letting you know about delays is better than guessing. if you phone them it takes ages to get through

But why should you have to chase them at all over your order if it was just one customer they may be forgiven for neglect but i bet there are hundreds if not thousands. My point orginally was everybody else i have dealt with this year and last year have delivered within an acceptable time limit all except T&M

But you aren't comparing like with like, You can't compare a seed order to a live plant order, they're not treated in the same way by any company! I agree that they should keep people informed though. Have you checked their website for news or updates?
