Anyone had problems ordering from Thompson & Morgan?
So after readinbg a few replies on another thread on here where people are receiving thier seed potatoes and thier plugs etc so i guess the weather has nothing to do with dispatch times either
People have received ordinary seeds and 'plants', you don't know what sort of plants or whether they're hardy, or whether they're sent direct from T&M or from a third party grower. The other person had an email saying their potatoes were being sent, but in fact didn't receive them...
Can we please decide which thread we're ranting on and stick to it, I can't see any reason to have 2 threads on the same subject, so the two will be merged unless one is left alone now.
My tuberose arrived. They're categorically not hardy so I hope they're OK. Hopefully Royal Mail keeps their sorting offices etc above 0C at night.
I'd have been quite happy to have an email from T&M saying they were delaying dispatch because of the weather or whatever, it's the fact they had a delivery date, and sent update emails and then suddenly nothing. And they didn't reply to my query email either.
I'm sorry that some people are having problems with their orders. But can I please ask those of you who are having problems to allow those who haven't had any to say so without pouncing on them? We need to keep this balanced and reasonable, and not a witch hunt, or the forum owners could be in trouble. Thanks.
i received all my orders when i expected them from T&M; but i also put my orders in earlier November since companies go by first come first serve. The later you wait the less likely ,you will have to wait when a glut of oders comes in.
Just to update Thompson and Morgan haven't gotten back to the email. But they sent me a private message on here. They apologise and are sending me some more yacon. Which is odd as it was the oca that was mouldy. The yacon I've got on order with them hasn't arrived yet or the comfrey plants.
My bare-root pinkcurrants, raspberries and strawberries arrived from them this afternoon Hope the thaw continues or I'm going to struggle to get them in.
I think they registered so they could reply to me, and possibly others. It's a little sad they only replied here and not the email. Feel like they've only replied as I complained publicly.
Just to update. Thompson and Morgan sent me a private message on here and they've agreed to replace my oca. At first they said yacon, but I corrected them.
I had a message this morning that my yacon (a seperate order) was on the way and they were posted yesterday. Wasn't yesterday a bank holiday- so no post?!?!
Anyway they arrived this morning. I ordered 4 yacon buds and I got 7. They may have come apart in the post- or they may have sent extra. But the yacon this time has mouldy. The oca mould was blue. This stuff is white. I've already told the woman I've been dealing with. No reply yet. Maybe they're meant to look like that. But to me it looks like they've been sat all easter weekend in a plastic envelope going sweaty.
I'm going to try potting them up anyway, maybe I should scrape the white stuff off? Any idea how to know which way up to put them?
