I was just buying some hen food and the conversation ran to 'don't count your chickens before they hatch' phrase.
I explained what it means and the lady bust out laughing.
Apparently what they say in that situation is...."il ne faut pas vendre la peau de l�ours avant de l�avoir tu�. "
Basically- don't sell the bear skins before you kill them.
Not the sort of everyday thing you'd think of coming out with is it????

The shoe shop in cyprus called 'athletes foot' was funny, I particularly liked the removal van where the company was called 'hump and dump', but that one definitely wins
