I was born in Holland. We lived there until I was almost 8. As a kid I went to a Dutch kindergarten, and I spoke fluent Dutch - as well as a small kid can anyway.
This year, we're going back. I'm desperate, can't wait. I'm hoping my Dutch is going to come back to me, but back in Blighty there was no practise, nobody spoke Dutch to me, so I've forgotten everything.
Today, going through those Vlaams phrases brought back quite a bit.......I need to do some studying, think it could be fun!

Do you know, I was looking through those Flemish phrases trying to find a tangent for your globby throat, and I was surprised how much I remembered. So not really double dutch....
I actually really enjoyed looking it all up, remembering stuff. Pictures of people, places, events come back to you with words read. Might look on the 'Bay for some Dutch language cds.
