    • Dreamt last night that I was picking lovely tall chives and eating them straight from the garden.

      Mmmmmm...
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

          • Your post actually brought back childhood memories. My dad always had a few clumps of chives(we called it size for some reason) and were encouraged to snack on it. Saved food in the kitchen I suppose.

            • My dad always grew veg in the back garden but stopped because step mum kept buying from the market instead because "it is fresh". Never could understand her!

                  • I have a confession.

People eating cherry tomatos like sweeties makes me feel sick. There! I said it in public!

I wondered where the thread had gone for a while. Must have been tangentised.

                          • pigeons were doing what they do this morning - until they noticed the cat was out for the first time in months - That'll teach'em to behave themselves NOT

The cat is such a useless hunter - she's never caught anything, but they don't know that.

                              • OITC took me to the ballet in Glasgow to watch Nutcracker. I had a fit of the giggles because they sounded like the seagulls landing on our roof. We lived in an attic flat at the time that had a flat-roofed dorma extention.
