No way Bins - for one thing Rockdust is a hell of a lot cheaper and that's just for starters.
I reckon Biochar is like a water retention medium, as is peat. Years of rotting stuff that isn't a feed, but merely a water holding material.

Is urea the same as urine ...? Can't actually see where it's extracted from.........
Normally it's extracted from...well you know where! Isn't it good for your wife's brassicas?

I like Rockdust from the bit I sprinkled last year. This year I've gone a bit gung ho and spread it everywhere. I even swallowed a bit inadvertently, when the wind blew some back...cough cough.

                • Oh ok so rockdust is beneficial to the soil unlike too much carbon which can rob it of nitrogen and then you have to put in more urea to counteract it.........

                      • I have only once used rock dust and I used it on my onion bed. It is not a fertiliser. I didn't do a control to compare against but I had an immense crop that year. No idea how much the rock dust contributed.

urea is not urine, I'l give you a link to let you find out about it again. Fertilizer Urea. it is not extracted, Urea is made by reacting carbon dioxide (CO2) with anhydrous ammonia .

AP see VC's link, it's naturally contained within urine....
