Think how poor George Best coped with all that champagne and a Miss World in his bed

I'd rolled up a pair to put them away and they sneaked under the duvet when I wasn't looking Gave me quite a shock - it could have been a rat

No way, they'd crawled over against my leg - I might have hurt myself
A wife, that I know, whose husband was in the police and used to work nights, would come home and crawl into bed beside her at all hours of the night. One night, by accident, she left her hairbrush in the bed. Husband came home, got into bed, found the hairbrush and put it aside - making no comment.
The next day, she thought she'd leave something larger in the bed and see if he reacted. No, he just removed the item and went to sleep. This went on for days, a bigger object each night. Finally, she put a dining chair in bed beside her, convinced that this would have some effect - Nope. He just lifted it out and climbed into bed. They still laugh about it

That reminds me of when I used to work at Cardiff Royal Infirmary back in the 80's.
One Monday morning I went to help this confused elderly guy out of bed having heard he'd been going on and on all week about there being something in his bed at night.

I pulled back the sheets- and lo and behold there was a massive cockroach- easily 2" long tucked up in bed with him

In those days the old oak floorboards had big gaps between them and it had obviously decided it was warmer in the bed than under the floor.....eeeeew!!

Poor bloke- it must have been awful not being believed.
There's a lesson in there for us all eh?

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
