This weekend, I've cleaned and sorted my storage jars, re-labelled them with chalkboard board labels - all very posh for a bunch of old coffee jars.

The BH decided to go one further and has sorted coffees, hot choc, cocoa, sugars etc into colours - dark brown down through white. I had coffees, teas, cocoa/hot choc followed by one of two other things and they've been n that order for years.

So the moral is; if you're going to do it OCDwise then be prepared to put a spoonful of fine rock salt in your coffee instead of xylitol sweetener!! He didn't read the nice new labels, he automatically took the jar where the sweetener had been.....

When i was younger (teenage years) i had to wash my face three times first thing in the morning, and three times before bed, in a row, with normal soap. No other extreme cleanliness issues, i'd get muddy, smelly with fishing bait...etc

I dont really know why, and at the time it seemed like a perfectly 'normal' thing to do.
Until I moved in with my better half, she gradually weaned me out of it, now i just have one shower a day.
                      Weird.

I hang all my washing out in order - socks and hankies first, then going up in size finishing with bath towels and bedclothes on the very outside of the rotary drier.

Also. all my books are on the shelves sorted either alphabetical by author, or categories. It just means that I can find things straight away. Simples.......

On the same sort of note: I have to check, recheck and recheck (sometimes even more times) that I've locked all doors. Worst is at night, I can't remember if I have locked the front door. I must be slipping up, as the other night I left the garage door open (as in open open) all night.

If I turn around one way, I'll have to "unwind" myself much like Sarah the other way. Glad it's not just me

I also take my socks off in a weird way (by doing a shuffle, dragging my feet backwards on the floor so I don't have to use my hands - after I've washed them like). I grimace when I have touch the door handles here, the amount of people that don't wash their hands when they've been to the toilet (for both reasons - well and another - monday mornings there's always at least some delightful soul that's spewed in the pan (not flushed either, might I add)). I either use a tissue that I take in the toilet with me so I don't have to touch the bog roll unnecessary or my sleeve if it's near the end of the day, which I then roll up.

                          Man, I'm weird.

I also disinfect my keyboard, mouse, monitor, desk and phone every couple of days. I also HATE HATE HATE it when someone else uses my desk, or keyboard. Yuck.

However, at home - I don't mind. Odd.

I've just read through all this thread and whilst a few of the things are quite sensible as they're not really OCD, they're more about being organised, some of the other things make me wonder how you find enough time in the day . Might get OH to read this as he thinks I'm obsessed with stuff as I like things to look straight but colour coordinating pegs and rotating doesn't fit with my logic brain.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I'm with you on that one, my local T&sco has baskets with either light or dark blue handles, I only use the one's with dark blue handles for some unknown reason. Pleased it's not just me though.
