    • Scorpions were a nice smart recce motor, unfortunately they suffered with a problem extracting the fumes from gunfire from the turret and the crews started falling over.

When they found out what the Scimitars 30mm rarden could do in the first gulf war that sealed the fate of their big gunned brother.

      • Just going back off on the old tangent... I was saying that Home Ec isn't really taught these days, and VVG described the great lessons her kids have been having. I just asked my daughter about it, who is in Year 8 (2nd year of secondary school). She had half a term of cookery last year, 6 whole lessons, and that's it, she doesn't get to do any more. She won't even get the chance to take it as an option because they split the kids into academic and vocational streams and only the vocational stream are allowed to take 'catering'... My lot will be fine anyway, because we've taught them anyway, and DD (12) bakes as well as I can, but any kids whose parents both work and have no time to cook or teach them will struggle when they're older
