I disagree, I think 'I don't want to' is a good enough reason. I don't eat game, or pork, or horses and I think 'because I don't want to' is a good enough reason for that.

Yep, it has to come down to personal choice but if we can't make an informed choice because the information isn't there or is simply wrong then that's no choice at all.

All this does of course have a tangent.....On the return flight from Madeira (squeezijet) I was peckish & so brought a turkey salad sandwich from the trolley,it was a very well traveled sandwich having been produced in ..... Switzerland that is a heck of a carbon foot print for a butty

I was brought up not eating pork for religious reasons, now I just don't really like it. Pretty sure that whichever deity is involved would forgive accidental eating such as this on the part of the eatee, hopefully not on the part of the producer though. A few bolts of lightning wouldn't go amiss there!

Well at the very least the whole thing has been enlightening for a lot of people and might encourage them to make better choices about what they put in their mouths.
