very true............ but still really chuffed for him, he's not had an easy time of it, we were really worried that if he failed this time he'd just give up on driving, he'll have no money now though so I suppose they'll be a lot of 'mum can I just borrow....' going on!

You really haven't grasped this parent owns car,son uses it principle. This is how it works. You put in fuel. Son uses car. You goto use car. No fuel in car. You put fuel in car. Son uses car. You'll soon get used to it
ah got his own car, won't be able to drive mine - won't insure him ......... thankgod!!!!! but yes totally agree 'his' petrol will probably be on me, for the time being anyway!
